An instructor’s iterative journey: Virtual learning at the nursing undergraduate level
Digital Document
Abstract |
Abstract
The purpose of this project is to document the journey toward becoming an effective and engaging instructor via virtual learning and to answer the question, how does a reflective, iterative process that incorporates learner and instructor perspectives, inform virtual learning of a nursing theory course at the undergraduate level? In the winter of 2023, I began teaching my first virtual undergraduate-level course for the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) School of Nursing. From this opportunity, a project was developed as a reflective course exercise that utilized an iterative process to plan, implement, evaluate, and refine an undergraduate nursing theory course. This project captures the iterative process, aims to better inform instructors embarking on their own virtual learning journey and intends to identify recommendations and modifications for future virtual learning courses. |
