The contribution of wild food experiences to sense of place in McBride, British Columbia

This study was undertaken to explore the contribution of wild food experiences (foraging, fishing, hunting, picnicking, processing, trading/gifting, eating) to three dimensions of sense of place (place attachment, place dependence, and place identity) in the intermountain village of McBride, British Columbia, Canada. For the purposes of the study, wild food is defined as plants, fungi, and animals that have been acquired locally and have required little to no human input for their existence.
