Abstract |
Abstract
The microfinance programme initiated by the Grameen Bank has become a model of lending to the poor and is now part of the global anti-poverty strategy. The present study examines the corporate governance practices of microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Bangladesh including the Grameen Bank based on a survey of 36 MFIs constituting almost 90 percent of the borrowers in Bangladesh in 2008. --P.ii. |
