MUSE UMOBILE IN CASSIAR The Atlantic Canada Museumobile visited Cas- siar on September 12 and 13. The Museumo- bile depicted the relationship between man and the sea and traced the geological, social, econ-- omic and cultural development of the four At- lantic provinces. The fascinating exhihit which covered a time span from the evolution of the provinces to the present developments, _ was housed in a caravan of three 8’ X 45’ trailers. The first trailer dealt mainly with the formation of the provinces, the second trailer presented a glimps of daily life in the Atlantic region over the past three centuries,and-ship-building was the major theme of the third trailer. Students from the Cassiar school were ‘given an oppor- tunity to visit the Museumobile and classes were taken on a tour by the tour guides who ex- plained the various exhibits and answered ques- tions. The students felt it was an informative and entertaining display and many returned several times. to see what they might have missed the first time or to spend more time at exhibits that were particularly interesting to them. From the first shriek of the gulls to the final ear-against-the-wall ocean sounds, it was a worthwhile and enjoyable tour. - Cassiar Courier workers felt a bit DEE-flated as they STRUGGLE to produce this issue with- out the assistance of Dee Ellis.
