During the past ten years child- ren in British Columbia have raised $168,809.61 and we want to let you know how last year's money was used. Our 1970 Hallowe'en Drive rais- ed a net total of $18,256.00; act- ually more money was raised but we have to pay for our cans; 4% ver can and label. This means roughly that the first nickel collected by a child at Hallowe'en is used to pay for the can and after that everything goes to help needy child- ren. Money from this fund was allot- ted to Pakistan Relief, help in Peru, milk for children in camps in Jordan, food and medicine for Nig- erian orphans, individual children and families, special surgery for badly injured Vietnamese children, and many other worthy causes. We hope you will] agree that the money was well spent and that you will encourage the children in your school or Sunday school to put real effort in raising even more money for the work of the Save the Child- ren Fund this year. The thousands of children in refugee camps in India and the just as needy children in hospitals and centres in Jordan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Morocco and Korea need our help. PLEASE HELP US AT HALLOWE'EN, «eeee.e-As in the past years a number of Cassiar children will esllect fer this organization, on Hallowe'en night.
