Photo by Jeremy Fung Timberwolves Destroy Aleza by Jeremy Fung After losing their first game to Canicord the UNBC women’s _ basketball bounced back with a victory in their second game. Thursday night they took on Aleza at O’Grady High School. Half the team arrived early to watch Canicord move into the final undefeated, as Canicord came back from a half time deficit to defeat A&E. Whether this, or the fact that they were playing their coaches team, is a matter of opinion. It is clear that the Timberwolves were going to win the game from the start. Shannon Blank dominated in the first quarter, she hit two three pointers and a pair of field goals. But the game was not a solo effort by any stretch of the imagination. It was refreshing to watch how well they got along, as they left the building they joked and ended up in a team water fight. The next game is 8:30 Tuesday March 10, if they win that they play Wednesday at 7:00, and if they win again the champi- onship game is Thursday March 12 at 7:00. All the games are at O’Grady High. It would be great to see some fans.
