A statement released Friday by the branch said the recommendations to Recrea*= tion and Conservation Minister Jack Radford are the result of increased management costs since the last fee adjustments several years ago. Trophy fees would be eliminated and @ there would be no refund on a species licence payment if the hunter failed to bag his game. . Non B.C. residents would be able to fish for free if accompanied by a member of their family in possession of a valid angler's licence. Under Angler's Licence fees proposed, the senior citizen would still pay only sl, but B.C. residents would pay $5 compared to the present $3 for angler's licence and $3 compared to the $2 for a steelhead licence. Non-resident Canadians would also pay $5 for an angler's licence but non- Canadians would pay $6 compared’ with the present $3.50. For non-British Columbians and non- Canadians, the steelhead licencé would cost: $10 compared to the present $5 and new categories of special lakes and rivers licences would be created costing $15 and $25 respectively.
