The Outdoors Club is trying to continue the great tra- dition of great outdoor activities which Northern BC is known for. The club has about 75 members who are there to have fun, meet new people, learn new activities, and learn to become leaders. Some of these activities include hiking, kayaking, snow caving, and camping. The Outdoors Club also have courses in first aid, avalanche awareness, and win- ter‘survival. This specific club is aimed for on-campus stu- dents, who are simply stranded on Cranbrook Hill. The Outdoors Club is focused on giving students a break from school, but at the same time students will have the opportu- nity to learn something new, and have fun. Besides orga- nizing great outdoor activities, the Outdoors Club puts on many social events such as barbecues, dances, photo con- test, Easter egg hunts, and much more. This club who pro- motes having fun, and organizes great outdoor activities wouldn’t have been possible without the outstanding hard work of Kathi Vagt, and her staff who have made the Out- doors Club the biggest club on campus, and one of the most successful clubs at UNBC. The job the Outdoors Club has done has been outstanding. N TWO LOCATIONS: 2582 Queensway & 6491 Hart Hwy.
