The srade had been made of igsose carth, wet weathor and heavy traffic combined workecé up the road to such & condition that it soon became unfit for travels Some time elapsed befere the settlers were allicwed to make any improvements on the grace te make it suitable for traffice Govever, per~ mission was granted last spring with e proevise that shoule the grade required at any time the rails company coulg take it over ané stop 211 traffic « eut giving any previous notice.
