Tuition Rally Stirs Student Body

Students participated in a CFS sponsored walkout on Wednesday the 4th, in response to rising tuition costs. With a rally cry of “education is
a right; don’t give up the fight,” well over a hundred students converged on the UNBC Wintergarden for speeches from several community
members, including PG P!RG’s Helen Tremethick and radio personality Uncle Don. Later that evening, students continued their protest out-
side of the Civic Centre, where Gordon Campbell was enjoying an expensive dinner. Protesters enjoyed free hot dogs.
