‘Our tHe Ect) iin Editor’s Message Volume 14, Issue 4 & : 5 October 24 - November 7, 2007 a We dropped the ball. I admit it; things are upside down at Over the Edge. It all started with a story about a student : government ignoring their own bylaws until someone called them on it and resignations were forced. “No comment. EDITOR-IN-CHIEF ; . Private matters.” All I’m gonna say is that when someone stands for election, they present themselves for scrutiny. Cody Willett Students deserve answers. They don’t deserve blacked out text (which is against the rules of order NUGSS observes for | their board meetings) masquerading as ‘transparency’. MANAGING EDITOR/ DISTRIBUTION : Anyways, we had a story coming out about Ms. Pocock’s reasons for resigning. In a phone interview Ms. Pocock MANAGER made some startling revelations about what really happened to her presidency. The interviewer, also in charge of our Haakon Sullivan finances, has ‘flown the coup’ so to speak, leaving us without story and with little money. Wow. So here we are at Over the Edge, dropping the floodgates to PRODUCTION COORDINATOR §stop money from gushing out in a tide of fraud. No time to write the story... or on my part, any stories at all. Tyler Clarke Luckily my tours to classrooms near you in hopes of drawing the next generation of Over the Edge writers and editors into the fold has yielded new writers to pick up the slack. We might even have some new and returning editors stepping up to the typewriter. Thank you UNBC. Thanks for making sure Over the NEWS EDITOR Edge weathers the storms of apathy and vice. Thank you for caring about the culture and issues unfolding all around you and being willing to take the time Open #ito let everyone else in on it. Keep it Real, ARTSEDITOR/ADSMANAGER «4.
