Activities at the Community Centre A Chess Tournament is under wav since last week with 15''Brain- masters’ taking part in it. The games will have all of them playing against each other. At Ftmanski, another master of the chess game, {is the organizer and supervises the tournament. The photo with the name of the winner will be in the next month's issue. Another tournament-A shuffle- board tournament will start next week with prizes for the winner. This is the first time such a tour- nament has heen organized, and it seems that manv adepts of that game will particinate. Harrv Gereau, the organizer, declares that it will he a big success. considering the many entries already in. Meetings-The numerous meetings of clubs and associations, which have heen held in the Club Room for the past few weeks, prove that all those committee members are really active in their respective field of recreation. Let us name a few: the Ski Club, the Snowmobile Club, the Hockey Association, and the Chess Club. There is no doubt that everybody will benefit by the var- ious activities put on or to come. Dance-The Valentine Dance, this year, will be on Saturday. Februarv 13,1971. As last vear, the Union will organize it and there is no doubt that it will be another hig success. The accused man made no verbal de- fense, but the following evening he placed that same company car in front of her house and left it all night. The trainine of the handsmen and the instruments are supplied, at no charge, bv the hand. To be a handsman, the only re- quirement is that vou are in Crades 4 to 9 and have a desire to learn. The Kines, who were not vet in good shape due to lack of nractices, were defeated 15 to 19. A returm match at home has been scheduled for this comming week-end.
