I would liked to have stayed until sunset, but even by then it would not have been possible to take in all the beauty of this valley.”— Written in October by one of the Association’s workers who had just returned from Monkman Lake. The beauty of the valley through which Monkman Creek and the Murray River flow has entranced all who have seen it. For miles, step by step the creek descends through a series of emerald green pools and silver cascades. Like giant sentinels guarding this rare diadem of nature, majestic mountains tower into the sky. The scene is sublime and unforgettable. This valley is in the next section planned to be opened to car traffic by the Association, starting a few miles from Kinuseo Falls and continuing on to Monkman Lake, a distance of approximately twenty miles.
