CASSIAR CITIZENS TAKE ON

SCHOOL DISTRICT

The recent announcement at
the last board meeting on March
10, 1990, that the school board
would hold to it's original de-
cision to delete one principal
position has not been well re-
in Cassiar. Lynda McGill
spokesperson for the newly formed
Education Action Committee advis-
ed this reporter that an alliance
has been formed between the
E.A.C. and the Parent Advisory
Council, to seek reinstatement of
the two principal positions in
the Cassiar school system. She
is hopeful that the decision may
be changed at the next board
meeting, stated to be April 6 &

Step Down

Popular Atlin MLA Larry Guno

announced recently that he will
not be seeking re-election in the
newly formed Skeena region tor
the NDP Party. Guno who had
earlier indicated he would be’
running, said he had changed his
mind because of personal = and
health reasons.

continue as MLA until the next
general election and that he
