MONITORING PROGRAMS From 1953 to the present, in-plant environmental conditions have been monitored on a continuing basis and have shown progressive improvement. In- plant conditions, however, are not regulated by the Pollution Control Aces 2967, it's Regulations: “or Objectives. As a consequence, in-plant conditions are not reviewed in this brief. In early 1974, an Environmental Department was instituted at Cassiar and has developed monitoring programs in close co-operation with the Pollution Control Branch, and others, using accepted methods. Prior to 1974, monitoring was performed, but only in limited areas. Locetien of ambient sampling stations is indicated on Appendix C site plan. The Cassiar monitoring data is summarized in Appendix D.
