Northern Games in Fort St. John. They participated in Badminton, Chess, Marksmanship and Skiing They did not come home with any medals but served as very good emissaries of Cassiar and gained an insight in to a type of competition which had over 2000 children participating from places such as Whitehorse, Prince Rupert, Prince George, Kitimat etc. We can take some consolation from the fact that the boy who eventually won the Chess Tournmanet lost only game and that was to Doug Baycroft. The teenagers of Cassiar are missing a wonderful } opportunity if they don't join the Cassiar Cadet Corps. h The uniforms are all supplied, the camping trips are free hand any activities the Cadets take part in, transporta- } tion and.expenses are all paid for by the Canadian Armed f Forces. All they ask is for the Cadets to get some - f}valuable experience and to make better Canadians. ; ty Q eS Se asta" ¥ The second monthly Lions "200" Club draw took place at the Monte Carlo Night.
