PGP!RG volunteers set up shop where all students could purchase happiness, sex, love, status and accep- tance all in place. Buy Nothing Day is a world wide UNDER THE COVERS THIS WEEK 24-hour moratorium on con- sumer spending. It is a day to consider what we are con- suming, how we are consum- ing, and who this con- sumerism affects. North Americans comprise only 20% of the world population but consume 80% of the News Page 2 worlds resources. Buy Nothing Day is a day to think and a day to celebrate happi- ness without material pos- sessions.
