End up ts the correct term, as often 1t 1s necessary to travel through Alaska and even the Yukon Territory to arrive at some Northern B.C. points, such as the little town of Atlin, for example. interest in this rugged land centres more around occurrences in the more adjacent Yukon communities, such as Carcross and Whitehorse. The usual, and to date, least ex- pensive method of reaching Atlin from Vancouver, is to board the C.P.R. Steamship, Princess Louise or Norah, as she pulls out from Pier BC some evening, and settle down for a cruise very near the equivalent of a present day ocean crossing in time, at least, and much more scenic. On the morning of the fifth day after you go aboard, you tumble out of your comfortable berth, peer out the port hole, and find yourself read- ing inscriptions scrawled on_ the rocky cliffs above the dock at Skag- way, Alaska. Ah, you mumble, _ must be getting some place now.
