MILLING of asbestos ore is unique in
comparison to other types of ore milling.
Mill feed from the Dry Rock Storage Build-
ing is conveyed to the Rock Lines where
separation of waste and fibre occurs by dry
crushing and screening methods. The fibre is
passed to the Fibre Lines. The waste and

low grade ore is conveyed directly to the

outside storage pile.

Ungraded fibre is channelled through Fibre
circuits consisting of grading screens,
fiberizers, dedusters, opening machines, and
other enecieiaed equipment. It passes
finally to the Bagging circuit where the
cleaned and graded asbestos product is.
pressure packed into 100 pound bags and sealed.

These are palletized and shipped by land and

sea to markets throughout the world.

Fibre circuit waste is conveyed to the outside

"Low Grade Ore and Tailings" stock pile.

Throughout the various stages of processing,
large volumes of air are used to pneumatically
convey the fibre and provide dust control inside
the Mill. This air is cleaned by fabric

filtration.
