2 The mineral deposits of the area have been examined from year to year by officers of the Department of Mines of British Columbia. The neighbouring parts of Alaska have been mapped by the United States Geological Survey. The area has also been mapped topographically by the Geological Survey by work done in 1910 by Malloch, in 1916 and 1919 by Falconer, in 1920 and 1931 by Miller, in 1925 by McDonald, and in 1928 and 1929 by Bartlett.
