This year’s Orientation saw many changes. rey ay First, instead of having solely staff representation for each separate department/student service, a video, which featured students who shared their own experiences, ‘o) oa was incorporated into each introduction. This gave parents and new students a wider perspective of the each department as well as the services offered by the depart- ment. Ey Second, an amazing performance by “Drum Cafe” concluded the information session. During performance each students got a drum, and the band was leading them. “Drumming gives us a chance to express our own individual rhythm. A drum can create a song but we all together can make harmony. Nothing brings to life the key ele- ments of effective communication and teamwork as does a group of people attempting to create music together.” The third great part of Orientation Day this year was the numerous UNBC students that volunteered their time as Student Ambassadors. Fourty-five students participated! | would like to thank everyone for your support and hard work. Without it, it was impossible to achieve great result and success that we all witnessed.
