Now that everyone is back from reading, break, well rested and ready to apply themselves once more to the pursuits of higher education. | have a serious gripe to share with the rest of you. Maybe it is because | grew up in the Okanagan, where the snow falls a lot less for a shorter period, but there is some- thing wrong with drivers here in the wintertime. When con- fronted | am sure that we would all attest to being cour- teous to fellow drivers and practicing safe winter driving skills. | have found otherwise and it all comes down to one aggravating condition - park- ing lot rage. This condition, of course, mildly reflective of actual road rage can ruin the average person’s. day. Qualifications of — what induces parking lot rage are other people’s actions within the parking lot: mainly disre- garding those division lines do not exist (And you know who you are! No, your Honda Civic does not require two and one-half parking spots); disregarding the ‘Il-have-my- signal-on-therefore-I-get-this- spot-where-a-driver-is-leav- ing’ rule; and always aggra- vating the jack-ass who decides to mess with the parking lot sysmatics and invent new parking spots. | urge you all to use common sense to put a stop to parking lot rage. What can | personal- ly do to calm down from this rather stressful winter driving conditions? | will be attending the Mock Dating Game, March 2 at Noon in the Wintergarden. If you suffer from the effects of parking lot rage get involved with this great event. You will not be disappointed.
