Who can register?

You can register if you:

* arel8 years of age or older (during an election
you can register when you're 17, if you'll be
18 by General Voting Day);

® are a Canadian citizen; and

* have lived in British Columbia for the past
6 months.

How can I register?
To register, call our toll-free line during office hours
or use our web site to request an application form.

Why should | register now?
You have to register as a provincial voter in order
to vote in a provincial election or by-election,

to participate in a recall campaign, or to propose
new legislation through the initiative process.

Place of Residence for
Post-Secondary Students
Students who reside in a different electoral district
to attend o post secondary institution than where
they normally live have a choice. They can
register as a voter‘at either their temporary
address, or at the address where they would
otherwise live (perhaps their parents’ residence).
