WINTER CARNIVAL CASSIAR CAPERS IN THE MAKING On January 28th a meeting was called by Jeff Such, Recreation Coordinator for the purpose of organizing a Cassiar Winter Carnival. The response was overwhelming from the 14 persons that attended this meeting and within an hour and a half the committee had decided on holding a week long Winter Carnival from March 7th. - 14th with activities for everyone in Cassiar. We hope you will be excited about this program as much as the plan- ning committee. PROPOSED PROGRAM Sunday, March 7 Torch Light Parade - with all groups involved in the Carnival participating. Costume Contest for children at the arena followed by a Family Skating Party. Refreshments being served. Callaway, and L. Coran came first and P. Voss, K. Voss, H. Voss and J. Parsons came second. Kinky Borsato took lst in the "'B" event with S. Hickman, J. Olson and H. Robichaud while D. Demitri placed second with J. Michael, M. Isidoro and C. Hewett. Family Bonspiel L. Armstrong, C. Prosser, K. Armstrong and S. Prosser won the "A" event with F. Nitti and his family placing second.
