Each sec- tion is héaded by an electrical foreman who reports to the Assistant Plant Maintenance Superintendent - Electrical JAY LEE MINE ELECTRICAL FOREMAN MINE Mr. Jay Lee is responsible for the Miné Elec- trical section, which involves all pit equip- ment, Primary Crushing Plant, Tramline and the power distribution from the Powerhouse to the Mine. Jay is presently assisted by seven Electricity is supplied to the Mine via a step ‘up transformer outside the Powerhouse, stepping voltage up to 24,000 volts. This high voltage , is required to minimize losses along the al- most 4.5 miles of overhead power line. Main distribution within the pit is at 4,160 volts. TRAMLINE CONTROL PANEL 25kv LINE : MAINTENANCE BEING CARRIED OUT ON MILL This department is under the direction of Mr. Harry Stafford, who is assisted by eight electricians working three shifts and one instrument technician. This section is responsible for the main- tenance of the Mill, Concentrator and the Dryers.
