This year only the ele- mentary and intermediate grades took part. M.C.’s for the evening were Tracey King and Brian Archer. After a welcome by Nicole Deyo and John Cavanaugh the programme began. The grade seven held a raffle during the course of the evening. Tracey King made the closing Bouquets musi go to Marlene Overton, Wendy Cartwright, Uschi Froelich and Lori Kamlah for On Friday December 14th, the Student Council } Christmas Dinner and Dance was held in the § School’s gymnasium. The Student Council had | asked the grade 12’s to take on the responsibil- | ty of the dance and they did an excellent job of arranging the whole affair. Thanks must go to Ms. Tavener for her usual outstanding job of looking { after the food arrangements. The catering was } done by grades eleven and twelve. The music was taken care of by Glenn Cousins who was D. if for the evening and who received many compli- ments on his selections. Ed hails from Vancouver where he has lived all his life. This is his first ex- perience in the North and he is looking forward to learning to cross country ski. Goodbye to Mrs. J. THEY _ WILL OFTEN RUN ACROSS THE ROAD TO JOIN THE REST OF THE HERD | HELICOPTER CARRYING EQUIPMENT’ AND CREW TO SERVICE TV SYSTEM ON MOUNTAIN TOP At a mountain top just north of the camp, the Ministry has installed a Channel receiving system which amplifies the signal and feeds it down the mountain side to the camp, where the signal is further amplified and distributed by cable. This system supplies TV to the camp: ‘only as it e not large enough to service the entire com- munity. Winter Driving _ Winter driving in Cassiar Country can be tricky at times. Even the most experienced drivers have ' their problems.
