February 26, 2001 we ke, OF aikt Over The Edge Page11 Ae COLD 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage GEFFEN by Andrew Starkes The second annual Jezebel's Jam, held Friday February O9th , was put on by The UNBC Northern Women's Centre, featuring a variety of talented local artists. Half of the proceeds went to the sup- port group WOMYN that operates within the Youth Around Prince Resource Centre. This group assists female sexually exploited youths. The event was orga- nized by Marilynn Hegedorn These guys sound a lot like Bush, or Nickelback for that maiter, with darker lyrics, but what else would you expect form an album titled “13 Ways To Bleed On Stage”. From what | got from their bio on the net, these guys enjoy rev- eling in the darkness they feel brings an “all consum- and Tamara Connell, and a beautiful painting donated by Alex Vlaszaty, to be raffled off as the door prize. This year's "Jam" was a fan- tastic performance of song, dance, poetry reading and story telling. From the ironic and thought provoking stories and poetry of Jaqueline Baldwin to the "electronica organic fusion" of Bionica & Friends, the event addressed many issues, aspects and wonders of femininity as well as the gifts of love and life. They crawl under your scalp and build a nest, before you know it you’re overrun.” Personally, | would have to disagree, | wasn’t moved to any extent other than to pitch their CD into the trash.
