“Yes, me boy. But, mind ye, ye’ll be ex-
pected to obey the orders of meself and the
professor, who has the good heart to promise to ~
look after ye.”

“No fear but I’ll do that,’ Arthur promised
as he stretched himself out beside Jim on the
buffalo skin; a hard bed, but warm.

“Good night to yes, and God bless us all,”

said Mary as she left them.
