So far, nothing has ex- ploded. I’m going to take that as a good sign. While I was planning on being involved in the production of the last issue, I ended up being out of town over reading break, as were some of the other editors, in- cluding our copy editor and news editor. Since we didn’t have our full staff coordinat- ing on that issue, some errors and omissions occurred in the paper, as you may have no- ticed. I would like to apologize for any confusion this may have caused, and we will be working to improve the quality of our paper in the future. The person most screwed over by this was our very ca- pable staff writer Joseph Jeff- ery, and I would like to apolo- gize to him in particular. He wrote an article in cooperation with Kyra Janot covering the budget cuts for the last issue that was somehow missed and not included. It will be pub- lished in this week’s issue. He also wrote “A Review of Val-. entines Day” in the opinions section, which was mistakenly attributed to Amber L. Rich- ards. As far as my own work goes, my follow up article on the discontinuation of the Smart Card system was not included in the last issue as it should have been. Although somewhat redundant now, it will be included in this issue. I would also like to correct something in the co-op article I wrote, which was that “There. has already been some negotia- tion with SFU for bringing in preparatory work skill courses and workshops to UNBC.” This is incorrect, and the pro- gram referred to is actually the . Bridging Online (BOL) course currently in use by the co-op program. Hopefully, things will run smoother for our last two . issues. If you see any problems with the paper, please let us know about it. Better yet, get involved by writing something yourself and being active in the paper. We are particularly inter- ested in getting creative writing pieces for a feature in our final issue. Also, if you were as of- fended by Tyler’s stupid sexist comic as I was, please feel free to send in some hate mail. I’m not yet on the over-the- edge@unbc.ca listserve, and I’m not sure when I will be, so if anyone needs to contact me personally, send an email to carmich@unbc.ca. Coming up 2 issues away is a creative writing feature. Please submit pieces of creative writing to Over the Edge via over-the-edge@unbc.ca or by dropping them off at the OTE office located in the | Wintergarden. OTE made a Whoopsie In the past two issues, Febraury 28 and Febraury 9, OTE has wrongly credited an article. In the February 9 issue (David Suzuki on the cover), on page 17, “We are Over-Rated” was not correctly credited to Kyra Janot and Joseph Jeffery. Joseph is one of our staff writers, but his last name was lost in translation and not properly credited. However, the big whoopsie was found on page 10 of the February 28 issue when their “A Review of Valentine’s Day” article was credited to Amber Richards instead of to them.
