From there s pack trail ecntimes on northerly throughout = ree. a i ae the townshipe It is contemplated that this pack trail will soon be made into a wason road so ss to afforé an outlet to the veace river for the people settled to the gouth., With the excention ef a fer cuarters which eould be economically improved in sections 3, 4 and Sd, the whole of this township is not euitable for settle-= ment in its present statee Sections 17, 13, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, <0, Bl 22 an& 25 are included in the Kober y proposeé forest reserve and contsin areas of goot commem @ial timber of spruce and poylar to 24 inches, the rest of the towvmship is mostly covered with a dense growth of poplar to 4 inches interspersed with smail spruce and areas of heavy windfall. The kiskatinaw river with a valley of 150 feet deep flows northeasterly through the southeast corner. of this township ané is practically the only permanent supply of fresh water in tne township. The country is generally rolling to hi.iy ané the yerete- tion of a hegligible quentity. Moose seems to be plenti- ful. in the portion cccupled by the Moberly proposes forest reserve, judging from the tracks seen éuring the course of our investigation. ‘fhe soil is a light sandy lom in the southwesterly and northeasterly pertions of the town~ ghip covered with from <¢ inches t2 6 iaches af moss.
