TO ALL RESIDENTS OF THE CASSIAR REGION The Centennial Year of British Columbia has come to a close. During the past year, much effort has been expended by your local Centennial Committee and many other members of the Community in their desire to pro- vide varied ways of celebrating. Everyone in our Community enjoyed in some measure either one or both of the major events which we have so lightly recapped in this issue of the Asbestos Sheet. Your Centennial Committee wishes to extend thanks to all persons who assisted in helping to make both the Winter Carnival and the Regatta Day a success, A special ''Thank you'' is also extended to all clubs and other organ- izations who participated in the events. Special recognition has been made and will be extended to those individuals who made outstanding cont- ributions by making special projects or assuming leadership roles in the various Centennial events. We are happy to say that these efforts have made it possible to gain the objectives. As well as providing funds to assist in the comletion of the Arena Centennial '71 Lounge, everyone has had the pleasure of cele- brating the Year. All can now feel some pride in this achievement of making the Lounge a reality for the use of our Community. It has been a pleasure to be part of this Celebration and work with such an energetic and co-operative Committee. DOKL ppb Chai rman, Cassiar Centennial Committee.
