I arose, showered ana cressed and descended the stairs, bracing myself for the usual chorous of "Happy Birthday" from the kids, but there was none. Not even a cheerful "Happy Birthday’ vear" from my wife. Instead of being grateful that so far the world had allowed me to ignore it, I felt an even deeper gloom. as I entered my office, my lovely secretary greeted me with nothing more than "Good Morning, Mr. Snith"., Then at. 11:30 it happened. My secretary came in all sijles and said, "It's sich a beantiful day Mr. Smith, I've decided to take you to a dar- ling little place in the country for lunch to celebrate your birth- day.™ We arrived, hac a few drinks and a wonderful luncn.
