IF THE CAP FITS..cee.. In most cities the law requires that, upon hearing a fire alarm you pull over to the side of the road - and stop::: During the recent fire calls in Cassiar we note a number of inconsiderate? unthinking? motorists, cruising along - more concerned with their own destinations than that of the VOLUNTEER | FIREMEN. Two Noted Incidents 1. Chuck Gander and George Bremert lost many valuable seconds whilst waiting for four cars to cruise by at the intersection of the Warehouse and the main road. 2. The Fire Chief whilst driving to the scene of the fire was almost cut off by another inconsider- ate motorst. OUR Firemen do everything other than perform miracles getting to the fire hall and from there to the scene of the fire - maybe at your home. All that the law does in any community is MAKE IT OFFICIAL. Do we need such a law to save property and possibly life? . Let's get smart and assist our firemen in any way we can. And in regard to the carefree drivers mentioned in the above two incidents just thank God that the fire did not involve the loss of life. You may have had a hard time living with your conscience.
