Secandly, Corporal Grant Martin for the Cassiar detachment was a "key note" speaker for our Law 12 students. Lates Over the last: several years, the number af students arriving late at school, particularly in the morning, has reached epidemic Proportions. The school has had a policy for a number of years that states that when a é student is late fear the fifth time ina month, the student is sent home for the duration of the marning or afternoan session. In an attempt to accentuate the positive, the school office informs parents by mail when a student is late for -the -third time in a manth in an attempt ta- avoid further lates. Nan Instructional Day, November 19 On November iv, Cassiar Secondary held a non-instruc— tional day, the theme of which was "Man and the Environment.” The primary focus of this canfer— develop an environ— ence was ta mental plan for the schoal,. The Ppragram alsa invelved the stu- dents in a one hour presentatian on the following day.
