HOW ABOUT THAT! WELCOMES 0 our new teaching staff ........ JOHN AND NATALIE OLSON Joining the teaching staff are John and Natalie who come from Van- couver and are both U.B.C. Grad- uates. Being great skiing enthusiasts they will spend much of their time on our ski-hill, also never having curled before John plans on learn- ing here in Cassiar. In only the short while they have been here, John and Natalie both feel they will enjoy teaching and living in Casstar. MR. PAT HICKMAN Pat comes from the Okanagan Dist- rict along with his wife Sandra. One of the subjects he will be teaching in Cassiar will be Indust- rial Education. Pat feels he will enjoy living in Cassiar as he likes to hunt and fish.' Sandra who enjoys curling is looking forward to the opening of the season. Jan Werner has come to teach in Cassiar after completing her studies ‘at U.B.C. (stopping long enough to marry Len) where her majors where Music and Science. Jan likes Cassiar altho is not to sure about the winters as yet. She is looking forward to teach- ing in Cassiar and plans to fill her spare time ski-dooing or watch- ing the hockey games and also help- ing to build a cabin! NURSERY SCHOOL A board was selected on Tuesday August 3lst, to act on behalf of the Nursery School in Cassiar. Enrolments are now being taken for children who will be 4 years old by May lst, 1972. The number enrolled will dep- end on whether or not the school is re-opened in September, as the ser- vice will be feasible only with 15 children or over * * *
