Delisle After back to back losses midway through November, the Ugrad Wolfpack rebounded to finish the 1st half of the 99/00 season with a 7 game unbeaten streak. The Wolfpack wrapped up 99 with a victory over Mongolie Grill. It was their first win over Mongolie Grill since last year’s playoff run. The win improved the Wolfpack record to 15-3-2 guarantee- ing them sole possession of 1st place for the time being. Five points ahead of second place, Canfor. The Wolfpack are having an unbeliev- able year. With five of the top 20 scor- ers in their roster, (Phil Cox, Darren Carpenter, Ryan Massey, Steve Donald, and AJ Delisle) the team has almost doubled their point total from last year. Scoring on the team has been very spread out. It has not been uncommon to find that after a game every goal had been scored by a dif- ferent player. Even Wolfpack goalie, Tristan Jordan, notched a game-win- ning goal. With the end of 1999 the Wolfpack has bid farewell to four of its key play- ers. Brett Carels, Paul Cassey, and Dave Hedalin all graduated last semester, and have given up their spots to James Adamson, Dave Radies, and Ryan Vietch. Also Tristan Jordan will be leaving the team to join the Junior Varsity squad, who are in need of a new net-minder. Neil Foord will replace Jordan between the pipes. The Grey Wolves closed out 99 with a disappointing loss to the Knights. The Knights were lucky enough to catch the Grey Wolves with a short roster because of exams, and they took full advantage. Even with the loss the Grey Wolves managed to propel themselves into 4th place with a solid record of 11-8-0. Erik Kozjin leads the Grey Wolves in scoring with 32 points followed close- ly by Kirby Jaques and Don Clutterham. The Grey Wolves play the Wolfpack three more times before the end of the regular season. If the standings stay the way they are the teams will likely meet each other in the playoffs.
