De a ee : ae 4 er dk A That evening at 6:30 p.m. a Father and Son Banquet was held at the Cassiar Curling Club Lounge. An International Smorgasbord was pre- pared and served by mothers of the cubs and scouts; delicious dishes from England, Hungary, Denmark, Scotland, Portugal, South America, Germany, to mention a few!! Flags of different nations were made by the cubs for table decorations and green plants with daffodils enhanced the head table. Green and yellow being the cub colours. The A.R.C. Mr. D. Rollie was very impressed with the number of fathers that accompanied their sons to the banquet. We're still not sure whether it was an interest in scouting or the good food which was the biggest incentive. Lets hope a little of both! To all those who contributed with time, money and effort to make the banquet a success a sincere “Thank you" and to all you ladies this little ditty will sum up every- thing; THE LADIES (Tune; Auld Lang Syne) We want to thank you ladies all You've more than done your best And thats the reason why we sing So full of fun and zest. Let's give three rousing for those Who served this banquet fine The men excel in certain things but here's where the ladies Shine. cheers xk k& &k 10
