Do not stand on pipe guards or railing around screens or work above moving screens. Bagged fibre must be stacked properly. When loading trucks or pallets from stacks of bagged fibre, be sure to work from the top downward in such a manner that there is no danger of bags falling. Wet or icy floors become very slippery when covered with fibre dust - walk cautiously. Listen carefully to your supervisor’s instructions. If you are not sure of his directions, ask him to repeat them. Safety shoes are required by all male employees in the mill department. Horse-play will not be tolerated. Accidents happen from this cause. Work safely - not only for yourself but also for the sake of your fellow employees. THE BEST SAFETY DEVICE IS A SAFE WORKER EQUIPMENT GARAGE Freedom from injury is considered to be the criteria of good workers and good work. Therefore, adequate safety precautions shall be observed at all times. Horse-play in any form will not be tolerated. No truck box in an elevated position may be worked on without wooden blocking across the chassis regardless of how it may be held up otherwise. No trucks or other equipment may be worked on while held up by mechanical or hydraulic equipment. Metal stands or wood blocking must be used. A suitable fire extinguisher must accompany ll welders or mechanics during all welding or cutting opera- tions. When welding or cutting operations take place on gasoline driven vehicles, a second person must stand with a fire extinguisher. Adequate eye protection shall be worn in accordance with Special Rule No. 13. Suitable welding screens must be used wherever prac- ticable to minimize the risk of arc flashes. All tradesmen must have the tools necessary to carry out their work in a workmanlike manner. No truck or other equipment may be moved out of or brought into the shop without a second person to guide it
