City Police Department has not only amassed an impressive record over the years for their shooting ability but are the mainspring in the program to make policemen of this city better shots. The pistol-packin’ experts of the citys boys in blue are headed by Detective-Inspector Charles Webb, head of the plainclothes section of the force. Charlie’s the big champ of the quartette, his latest achievements with the hand gun being to capture the British Columbia open championship in 1951 and the Vancouver Island closed championships in 1953. The writer would hate to be the fleeing crook any one of them had occasion to line their sights on. But another main function of these same gents, in addition to regular police work, is to pass on their knowledge in the handling and shoot- ing of firearms to all other members of the force.
