Carin will be attending Caribou College for a year studying Secretarial Arts. Speakers including Dick Chambers, Mary Isaacs, John Forbes, Valedictorians Ellen Knowles and Jud Overton, Brian Pewsey, Glenn Cousins, Dave Lynn and» Bill Burr, emphasized the graduation theme “to reflect, but yet, to venture forth” and the decorations “the great leap forward’, Lil Kamlah and Mickey Overton provided a musical interlude. Graduates and their escorts made another formal walk to begin the banquet held in the Rec Centre. A sumptuous dinner prepared by the cookery staff (to whom the graduates are very. grateful) was attended by graduates, escorts, parents and guests. — The evening ended with a dance in the school gym, with music courtesy of Bill Watson. by Connie Cousins ‘ I GEREMONIE The Graduation Diplomas were presented to each of the Graduates by David Lynn, District Superintendent of Schools. The presentation of Scholarships and Bursuries were as follows: Birgit Guderjahn received the C.A.C. Leadership Bursary from Brian Pewsey and the Lion’s Club Bursary from John Forbes. Suzette Pinto was presentated with the C.A.C. Academic Scholarship by Brian Pewsey- Debbie Johnson received the Provincial District Academic Scholarship from David Lynn.
