Sawdust mixed with Portland cement has been used as a concrete 3
in certsin limited applications. a

Domestic Gas from Sawmill Residue

Wood gas for domestic fuel and for internal combustion engines
has been produced but in North America the comparative cheapness and :
convenience of other fuels have discouraged development. The British ~
Columbin Research Council has developed a new method of producing fuel
gas from sawdust which may prove suitable for commercial use in com- 4
munities where cost of other fuels is high. ;
