Hostess Connie Cousins and Chef Gary Perriard prepared an atmosphere of elegance, spiced with just the right a- mount of casualness as to leave the participant feeling courted but not dismayed. Soft dinner music was sup- plied by Gertrude. The palate was tantalized with the delicate flavor of the - “Coquilles St Jacques”, then soothed with Southern Style salad, only to have the digestive juices start flow- ing again as our eyes prepared our taste buds for the de- light to follow. Maitre de R. Martschin was now on cen- tre stage as he flambed the Shish-ke-bob. Carl Lefebvre and Susan Ritchie served the main course with the a- plomb that was due such a work of art. Silence, then oohs and ahs.as people discovered the hidden secrets of delight in the stuffed tomatoes. (Conservation Outdoor Recreation Education (Hunter Safety Course) was held recently in Cassiar, with instruction by George Holman, assisted by game warden G. Pearson. The course consists of six sessions which are: Outdoor Ethics and Safety, Gun Handling and Hunter Safety, Why We have Regulations, Some Mammals of B.C., Some, Birds of B.C. and Outdoor Liv- ing and Safety. AIR BRAKE COURSE This course, conducted by Gerry Cooper, will be run April 21 - 26 from 7 — 10 p.m. each evening and on Sat- urday for four hours. Completion will enable students to get an Airbrake endorsation (on Highways vehicles) on ' their present license. Course fee $40.00. Other courses in April are the Weekend Workshop in Painting (Acrylic & Oil) with Brian Scott from. Emily Carr College. This course will be held on April 18, 19 and 20 and course fee is $20.00.
