The first half of the show ended with a song selection by Grade 2. During the intermission Coffee and Doughnuts were served. Part Two of the show opened with a song selection by Grades 7 and 8 and their rendering of songs old and new put to shame some of the highly paid professionals who blast our eardrums over the radfo. A hilarious skit on a fashion show followedd and the Grades 9 and 10 girls showed us how ladies should not conduct themselves. Sandie Williams and Helen HWoseph were featured next and rendered many songs in Page 7 In the next song selection featuring Kenny Pete, Elvis Dennis, Lyle Harwood and Dale Pete, the audience was captivated by young Daée Pete who turned out to be the show stealer. His voice, natural rhythm and personality had the audience Yeating out of his mmall hand." and it was only after two encores he was allowed to leave the stage. Well done Dale, perhaps we will see you on the Ed Sullivan show one day. ee ns ene eli li al i bl She al y The highlight of the evening was the original Cassiar production "The Switch" starring Sandie Williams as the young, tantal- ising waitress, Gaye La Flamme as a debonair gentleman, Helen Joseph as "A Swinger" and Denise Borsato as the serene demoiseliée. If Oscars were to be awarded Gaye would surely be the favourite to win the premier award for her potrayal of the debonair gentéman. Her interpretation was witty yet sincere and her facial expressions and mannerisms suggested far more training as an actress than she has had and suggests a great deal of natural ability.
