Squadron Leader J. R. “Jack” McDonald,
D.S.0., D.F.C., R.C.A.F., returned from
overseas to spend a well earned month's
vacation in the capital city.

the Royal Canadian Air Force in February,
1941. The hero of 62 operational flights as
pilot of a Lancaster, Jack had a happy
homecoming, and in honour of his distin-
guished service was feted with a civic din-
ner at Victoria’s Empress Hotel.
