As a group we are actively opposing B.C. Hydro's Stikine/ Iskut dam proposals. Our concerns are not only environmental, but economic and social as well. As the name 'Residents' implies our group is composed of people who live in the Stikine River Watershed. Our mem- bership, consisting of both natives and non-natives, includes fishermen, farmers, trappers, homesteaders, local merchants, guides and outfitters. We feel that as regards the dam issue we can speak for all of these interests We cannot speak for the Tahltan nor Iskut Native Band Councils, however, we are available as a contact for these. groups. "Residents For A Free Flowing Stikine!' can offer both background information on the Stikine/Iskut dam proposals, as well as updates on current B.C. Hydro activity in our area. We can also keep ‘you informed of any future activities which may arise in reaction to the im- plications of this current activity.
