Page 10 REG NEWS I am very happy to express my appreciation to the ._ people here in Cassiar for the warm welcome that has been extended to me as I take up the position of Recreation Co-ordinator. I am looking forward to meeting with the many clubs and groups of people that are interested in the continued development of recreation in this community. In the last six years I have been involved in Recreation Programming in the City of Kitchener, Ontario and consultative work with the Sports and Recreation Bureau of the Ontario Provincial Government. My philosophy on recreation is very simple and I hope that it rests favourably with the people of Cassiar. It is simply this: Constructive use of a persons leisure time makes for a happier more interesting life. Therefore if I can be a vital force in working with people to develop their recreational interests through programs and improved facilities then I feel I have aided them in making their life much happier, and whole- some. I would like to extend to you an open invitation to air your feelings to me about your recreation interests and I will do.my best in meeting those needs that have been identified by yourself and others in this community. Sincerely Jeff Such Recreation Co-ordinator "Supervisor of Facility Maintenance" I am happy to announce that Frank McLean is now in charge of facility maintenance for all the facilities under the guidelines of the Community Club.
