MacDonald was born at Shaw- bridge, P.Q., on Aug. 20, 1908, weighs approximately 167 Ibs., and stands 5 feet 10 inches. He has a medium complexion, brown receding hair, blue eyes, and wears glasses at all umes. He is a good dresser, is ex- cellent at figures, but poor at spelling. He likes woodwork and is a fairly good carpenter; he is also keenly in- terested in fishing, and is a good walker. He is rather quick tempered and gets argumentative and boisterous after drinking. He is understood to be quite a ladies’ man. MacDonald was originally married, but deserted his wife whom he left destitute, with three children. Subse- quently, he went through a form of marriage on the West Coast and de- serted his second wife, abandoning a six-month old child at the time of the theft. MacDonald served in the army dur- ing the last war and took driver- mechanic training at A-21 C.O.T.C., R.C.O.C. in Barriefield, Ont. He was posted overseas to the Canadian Ordnance Reinforcement Unit and was later transferred to R.C.E.M.E. He served in Northwest Europe with the 2nd Advance Base Workshop from May to October, 1945, and re- turned to Canada in January, 1946, being discharged in February, 1946.
