After driving through this sad looking piece of country, we reached the mountains again. ‘the road here curved up and down and alongside the hills with just enough place to drive a car or pickup on it. When you look straight down the valley you have a good view of the Stikine river, on the other side o1 the road it is just sheer rock face. It's fantastic scenerv, but it's best to keep your eyes on the road while vour’e driving. After passing this dangerous piece of road you come to the Day Panch and from here it is only a few more miles to Telegraph itself put another twenty miles to "Six Mile”. At Six Mile the fun started 7 Bs jis | and lasted::: Just trv and put up a 12° x 14° tent (from this angle anvway) in complete darkness. We evidently managed it and had a good night's sleep. The onlv disappointment of the weekend was the fish - there weren't any. Onlv one guv was lucky enough to catch a fish, but one of the girls managed to hook a really nice tree. They don't look as if they want to leave. We were all getting used to loading about when Ron Savard has been transferred to Engineering. Page ll we had to head hack home, bur all-in-all it was a very enjovable weekend. CORPORAL FE. KOKOSKA Congratulations to Ed. Kokoska of the R.C.M.P. who has heen promoted to Corporal.
