CHRISTMAS PAGEANT

Once again this year the children
of All Saints Junior Choir and
Church School have been enthusiast-
ically practising for the Christmas
Pageant. This will be held the
evening of WEDNESDAY, DEC. 22, at
7:30 p.m. in the Church.

The pageant takes the form of a
series of scenes from the Christmas
Story interspersed with Carols

In this season when there is so
much excitement and activity, let
us take time to appreciate the real
meaning of Christmas with the child-
ren as they tell again of God's
Life born into the world for every-
one.

This is an open invitation to
all the people of Cassiar and area.
The children look forward to seeing
you there.

lots of good cheer, but what a rush!

counter at Christmas? The clock
registers five minutes after. five
in the Toy Department and the sales-
girl has collapsed on a pile of toys
behind the counter. She is a mess,
but she has just weathered another
Christmas.

We know what she has been through
- it is enough to make anyone ask ~
whether they can take another year.
But then there are those times when
we remember the joys of a child's
Christmas. The awe, the hope, the
surprise and the real joy that child-
ren can know. Which of us can really
stand Christmas? This is not a new
question,

There once was a people who had
been forced to leave their country.
When they did return they worked as
hard as they could to rebuild it
