SAFETY NOTES

It is a pleasure to again welcome to
Cassiar, Mr. T. H. Robertson, First
Aid instructor, who comes to us
through the Nepartment of Mines &
{Petroleum Resources.

"Tom needs no further introduction
as he has instructed an annual class
in St. John Senior First Aid for the
past three years here.

His enthusiasm and unfailing pa-

tience have contributed much to the
success of his classes and have add-
jed many to the circle of his friends
and well wishers.

The current class is somewhat small-
er than that of last year, due to
the pressure of other activities,
rather than a lessening of interest
in First Aid.

However, the instructor's services
could not be obtained at a later
date due to his busy agenda in Mine
Rescue and First Aid instruction for
the forthcoming competitions at

other centres.

we would like to express our thanks
to Mr. Art McAndrew and Mr. Bill
Harlos of the Cassiar Elementary

| School for their arrangements and

assistance in holding another "Save
A Life" session at the school for
which certificates were issued to
those students taking instruction in
Artificial Respiration.

We also wish to thank Dr. Ralph pid-
cott for his interesting lecture on
shock to the First Aid class and for]
his co-operation in acting as med-
{cal examining officer at the forth-
coming First Aid examinations which |
are scheduled for March 23rd.
